Sit in Fishing Kayak
A sit in fishing kayak (also known as SIKS) is where a paddler is sitting down inside the hollow of the kayak. Often these are faster to paddle in than a sit on top design. Very popular with anglers that like the comfort of knowing they can easily access gear and also keep dry. But if you are into getting out of your kayak to wade this can be more difficult in this style.
Also with the sit in style because you are down inside the kayak, you have a lower centre of gravity which in simple terms means improved stability. So in short terms this is a very stable fishing kayak that will keep you much drier than the alternative SOT designs if you do not need to get in and out of the water too much.
