These kayaks are Perfect as a beginners entry level kayak designed for flat paddling and family fun. These are for those that just want to get out on the water for fitness or for a fun day in the sun. 

These styles are very stable designed for a smooth paddle, however are not a fast kayak so are not built for speed. A sit on top style of kayak has self draining holes which means that they can be used in flat water but also in the ocean surf. The water simply drains out of the scupper plugs if it fills with water and are a great family option.
