The R51 was designed to be lightweight and equally durable. This is achieved using the finest linear, HDPE polyethylene plastic and ultra-violet inhibitors blended to prevent the plastic breaking down in the sun.

Although often a Sea Kayak is less manoeuvrable than other styles of kayaks, the R51 Rapid series was built with a dash of surf ski style manoeuvrability and so handles this more easily than some of its counterparts and it is super fast.
